Complete Rain Guns Setup
Pump set
Several high-pressure pumps are available for connection to rain gun sprinkler systems.
Flow rates are within the rain guns specifications for intended water requirements on crop fields.
Booster pumps are also applicable in boosting the pressure rate in large-scale rain gun irrigation systems.
Mainline Pipes
Mainline HDPE water delivery pipes are laid on the middle of the farm to distribute water to lateral or Layflat delivery hose pipes.
Ball Valves
2-inch outlet size ball valves connect to lateral lines on every 1.8 m interval.
Lateral Lines
Portable HDPE or lay flat delivery pipes of 2.5- 3 inch diameter and 3.2- 4 Kg/cm2 pressure rating.
Stands and Risers
1.5-inch tripod metal stands for support during irrigation and an inlet part of 1.5-inch diameter.
Rain gun Fittings
Pipe fittings such as tee, elbow, and end caps, Stand to Lateral line pipe quick fit connector and Stand to Rain Gun Male/Female quick fit connector assembly

How to Design and Install Rain Guns
Rain Guns Sprinkler irrigation operates either on a hand-movable sprinkler head lateral or fixed lateral pipe stands.
With a movable lateral pipe, the rain gun stands and sprinklers can be adjusted to shift to another dry area.
On the other hand, a fixed lateral sprinkler system can only allow the rain gun sprinkler head to be moved.
- Lay HDPE or Mainline pipes on the farm .
- Connect risers to mainline pipes on an interval or 30 or 40 m apart.
- Mount Tripod Stands and Connect Rain Guns on the female quick-fit connector assembly of the stand.
- Connect the Riser pipes to the tripod stand inlet.
What is the Right Pump Specifications for Rain Guns?
The right pump for a rain gun system will depend on the depth of the water source and the pressure rating of the sprinkler.
For shallow water sources, you need at least a 5 HP pump to deliver water for about 30-35 meters head.
If the water source is deep, the minimum pump pressure rating could exceed 7.5 Hp.
Other factors such as rain gun model and type could also affect the type of pump to use.
What to do in case the water levels drop below the Pump’s suction Height?
Instead of changing the existing low-head pump set in the well, you can also add another 3 or 5-HP pump set on ground level at the outlet pipeline of the first Pump to use as a Booster Pump.
